Layout using Recycled/Unwanted Supplies

Hi Guys!

It's been a long time since I last blogged. I have been really busy and trying to find time to scrap and blog. Haha. Scrapping makes me happy so I try to find time to scrap as well as using this time to destress. Haha.

Anyway, this layout is something I did a few weeks ago. Most of the supplies here are actually unwanted or recycled products from my scrapbooking friends, including the papers and some of the embellishments.

I actually found this photo when I was looking through my old photos from my Europe backpacking trip. This picture was taken in Lafayette Paris. I was super mind blown by the structure of this building. It doesn't look like a shopping mall, it looks like a theatre! I enjoyed my time shopping there, though it effectively made me poorer. HAHAHAHA.

I first primed this Kaisercraft paper with Prima Finnabair Clear Gesso. After that I intensify the 'antiqueness' of the paper with sprays from Tattered Angels and Tim Holtz Stain Spray.

After that I start stamping! I used Kaisercraft script stamp with Black Stazon as well as Prima Pastel Blue ink edger. As you can see, I build my layout in a way that the visual effect will be vertical from top to bottom, but actually as the layout proceeds, I change the visual effect to horizontal instead. Haha. It's actually pretty fun to see how things ended up so different from what I had planned.

I added Finnabair White Crackle Texture Paste with Finnabair stencil.

This is how it looks like after it dried. :)

Now the background is done, I start working on the embellishments.

This is actually a chipboard die cut with Sizzix dies. I altered it with Art Anthology's Dimensional Paint then brushed on a their White Sand Texture Paste for added texture.

Now, take a look at the final look of this layout!

See I actually change the direction of the layout? I actually like this arrangement more than the one I had planned. I also cut up the edges of the chipboard and framed it behind the photo.

Here are some close ups. :))

That's all for today. :)

Stay tuned for next week's post. :)

BUH-BYE!
